Ian Mackay, P.Eng., is the principal engineer and owner of Mfpe Engineering Ltd. and is a registered professional engineer in British Columbia (APEGBC), Alberta (APEGA), and Saskatchewan (APEGS). He is also a chartered engineer (CEng) and fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).
Ian has worked for some of the largest corporations such as GE and 3M, and was the principal fire protection engineer at Troy Life & Fire Safety Ltd. prior to starting Mfpe Engineering Ltd. Since then he has worked for some of the largest fire protection contractors as well as supporting the smaller local businesses.
Ian brings the personal touch to the business and engages in client consultation, fire protection systems design, project management, analysis of current fire protection systems, and fire protection code consultation.
